About Us

Meet Our Founder

Richard O’Hamill created La Love Belt with one guiding belief: when life asks us to carry heavy things, we find strength in connection, compassion, and community.

Years ago, Richard faced the life-changing challenges of chronic illness and major surgery. What began as a personal fight to regain comfort, dignity, and mobility turned into a purpose-driven journey to support others navigating similar paths.

Through his experience, he saw how deeply people need not only physical support, but emotional and practical support — the feeling of being understood, equipped, and never alone.

Design Inspired by Life

Richard has always believed in designing solutions that meet real needs. La Love Belt was born from that same spirit — a desire to help people carry the things that matter most, securely and beautifully.

From medications and insulin to passports, cards, and personal essentials, La Love Belts are created for life’s movement — for travel, wellness, comfort, and peace of mind.

What you carry tells the story of what you value. With La Love, you carry confidence, freedom, and intention.

A Mission With Heart

Richard’s journey led to a deep commitment: supporting others who face medical recovery, chronic illness, and major surgery. His work continues to uplift patients, raise awareness, and fuel support for those healing from Crohn’s, colitis, and cancer.

La Love is more than a brand. It is a movement of compassion, empowerment, and giving back — a promise that healing journeys deserve dignity, support, and love.

The Meaning of La Love

“La Love” is a reminder — to hold close what matters, to live with heart, and to spread love through action. To choose grace, empathy, and intention, even in the hardest moments.

When you wear a La Love Belt, you’re not only taking care of yourself — you are helping carry hope forward to others on their healing journey.

That is the power of La Love.

A Message From Richard

“I created La Love Belt to empower people — to give confidence where there is fear, comfort where there is uncertainty, and support where it’s needed most. Life asked me to carry a lot. Now, I get to help others carry theirs — with strength, dignity, and love.”

Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we carry La Love forward.
